The astonishing price difference between ETH and BTC cannot be overlooked, yet the top two cryptocurrencies go head-to-head in most cases. Bitcoin is the flagship cryptocurrency, however, Ethereum has grown quite significantly in the past few years as well.

But the question many crypto enthusiasts and potential investors are often left to wonder is whether ETH is better than BTC. Carl Icahn, founder of Icahn Enterprises certainly thinks so.

In a recent interview, Icahn commended the second-largest cryptocurrency and claimed that ETH can function as a store of value as well as a payment system, unlike Bitcoin.

While many crypto enthusiasts and investors have their own opinions, novice parties need to stay up-to-date with the crypto market trends and news to make an informed decision before investing in crypto. Interested parties should also have a list of Bitcoin exchanges so they can choose a reliable exchange to purchase the crypto asset.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are at the top in the crypto market, therefore, whether people choose to buy BTC or ETH they can use top exchanges such as SwissBorg or Kraken.

What Can Make ETH Better Than BTC?

Bitcoin is the largest digital currency in the market with Ethereum in second place. However, according to Carl Icahn, Ethereum could be better than Bitcoin.

Icahn is one of the most successful investors of Wall Street who recently stated:

With Ethereum, it’s the underlying blockchain. So, Ethereum has two things — you can use it as a payment system, you can use it as a store of value.”

While speaking about the flagship digital currency, Carl Icahn stated:

So Ethereum and Bitcoin are different. Bitcoin to me is just a store of value.”

Carl Icahn is of the opinion that digital currencies are here to stay but the newer digital assets might not be as stable as the others. He has also shown interest in stepping into the crypto space and stated that he can put more than $1 billion in cryptocurrencies.

The slight competition between both digital assets is not novel. However, the prominence and utility of ETH are being enhanced according to recent reports as Carl Icahn is not the only enthusiast of ETH.

In recent news, Ray Dalio, the American billionaire investor also stated that Ethereum transactions are more efficient as compared to Bitcoin, despite owning the flagship cryptocurrency himself.

Should You Invest in ETH or BTC?

The crypto market can be an unpredictable place, especially for beginners who have yet to step into the world of crypto. Inexperienced investors can find it difficult to determine which digital asset to invest in and which crypto exchange to use.

The utility of cryptocurrencies is becoming prominent day by day, which has also diverted the attention of interested parties towards the industry. However, news updates as mentioned above can imply that one crypto is better than the other. In this case, potential investors and traders can be left to wonder if they should invest in one or the other.

Ethereum is a popular digital asset, however, the significance and utility of Bitcoin cannot be denied either. Therefore, the digital currency chosen by crypto investors can be seen as a matter of personal preference.

Another important thing to consider before investing in crypto is to choose a reliable and secure exchange.

Whether you choose to purchase ETH or BTC, you can choose SwissBorg exchange or Kraken, both of which are reliable exchanges. If you are also planning to become a crypto trader then you can use ByBit exchange, which is considered a top exchange and allows leverage trading.

You can also choose to copy-trade by using PrimeXBT Covesting if you do not have enough time to create your own trades.
