BitHide launches Transaction Safety Levels: confidential crypto payments for businesses with IP address and on-chain pattern obfuscation while maintaining AML compliance. At the same time, Transaction Safety Levels is a fairly flexible payout framework that lets companies choose their preferred level of transaction confidentiality.

Transaction Safety Levels: Response to Blockchain Transparency Risks for Corporate Users

Baseline transparency of public blockchains not only creates advantages but can also create risks for companies in certain scenarios. As crypto transaction volumes grow, businesses expose turnover, counterparties, internal structure, links between wallets, and other elements of operational activity that competitors, analytics providers, or malicious actors can use to build a detailed picture of cash flows. BitHide describes Transaction Safety Levels as a mechanism that addresses this challenge by providing confidentiality control at the level of each transaction while simultaneously maintaining AML compliance. Instead of a binary model of "fully open on-chain flows" versus "closed system," the wallet offers businesses a graduated approach where risk and compliance teams choose the disclosure mode depending on the scenario.

The Transaction Safety Levels framework includes three tiers - Basic Safety, Medium Safety, and High Safety - that sequentially add new protective measures around metadata and on-chain patterns.

  • At the Basic Safety level, the wallet changes the client's real IP address using BitHide's proprietary Dark Wing technology. This layer cuts off an observer's ability to directly link the company's infrastructure to specific transactions and minimizes the risk of metadata leaks at the network level. For many organizations that are only beginning to build crypto payment flows, this approach already reduces the attack surface on the infrastructure.
  • Medium Safety strengthens the model. Here, Dark Wing protects IP addresses, and the funds themselves are aggregated on a transit address before being sent. This design breaks the direct link between outgoing payments and the original structure of business flows: third parties can no longer reconstruct the route of funds within the company or typical operational patterns from on-chain data. Additional aggregation and routing increase overall confidentiality without abandoning transparency at the level of AML signals.
  • High Safety pushes the idea to the maximum level for critical scenarios. Funds are aggregated on a transit address, go through Dark Wing IP address rotation, fall under AML screening, pass through secure conversion, and only then are forwarded to the final recipient. The recipient, by analogy with traditional bank transfers, does not see the sender's crypto address and does not gain access to internal data. As a result, the business can separate sensitive operational information from settlement flows when this is required by information security policies or contractual constraints.

As CBDO of BitHide, Vasyl Zolochkevskyi emphasizes:

"With Transaction Safety Levels, businesses can work with crypto without exposing sensitive operational data, while remaining fully AML compliant. This way, we build a bridge between essential confidentiality and AML compliance for businesses in the world of digital assets."

Confidentiality Without Violations

The launch of Transaction Safety Levels builds on the fact that BitHide initially positions itself as a confidential crypto wallet for businesses and emphasizes that it helps clients manage digital assets securely, privately, and conveniently while staying within regulatory boundaries. Thus, security and compliance teams gain the ability to document and formalize the choice of protection level for a specific type of transaction without building their own mixing schemes or proxy layers that can conflict with AML policies.
