We’re back at it again on the Hyperliquid (HYPE) token analysis. Last time, we discussed how $HYPE was going through a moderate upward trend after its post-ATH retraction.
At the time, we talked about how the asset was following the Fibonacci to a tee. Just so it happens that since then, $HYPE traded sideways for a bit at the 0.236 fib level, before ultimately trying to go for a bullish breakout.

Since then, $HYPE went on a 21% surge, climbing as high as $38.22 per token. The currency faced strong resistance at that zone, as sellers aimed to capitalize a potential ATH-zone test. Currently, the token is trading at $35.93.

However, the price hasn’t completely dropped back to the previous support. HYPE is currently trading only 8% below ATH as of now. If buyers can consolidate strenght — or if overall market conditions improve in the coming days — we could be seeing a new ATH run very soon.
However, despite the bullish day, there is a chance that momentum could be fading. If so, we could be seeing $HYPE retesting the lower support zone. As we head into the next section, let’s analyze some data.
Analizing Strength
While HYPE is showing strong price action, technical indicators reveal a more nuanced picture of momentum and potential future moves.
A/D Line (Accumulation/Distribution)
The A/D line has been moving in sync with price, indicating that neither buyers nor sellers are taking full control. Without divergence, accumulation remains neutral, meaning current price action is not heavily backed by hidden buy pressure.

MACD (Momentum Shift)
A bearish crossover a few days ago suggests that momentum has weakened despite HYPE’s surge. Unless MACD starts flattening or reversing, bullish continuation may face resistance. Traders should watch for a bullish crossover to confirm renewed upside strength.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)
Currently hovering in the neutral-to-bullish zone, RSI suggests steady buy strength but not overheated momentum. If RSI breaks past 70, it could signal a potential breakout.

OBV (On-Balance Volume)
Just like A/D, OBV is following price action, meaning that volume trends confirm movement but do not indicate stronger accumulation. If OBV suddenly jumps higher than the price, it could indicate stealth buying that fuels the next leg up.

Possible Scenarios
- Bearish
HYPE is holding strong near ATH levels, but indicator data suggests that buyers do not hold the tightest grip. If accumulation remains flat and MACD continues bearish, price could retest lower support before another breakout attempt.

- Bullish
Despite some mixed signals, HYPE’s price action remains resilient, holding strong near ATH levels. If buyers manage to sustain pressure and volume picks up, we could see a renewed push toward price discovery. Traders looking to go long should pay close attention to MACD, as a bullish crossover — paired with a volume spike — could signal strong bullish momentum.
