REX Shares to Distribute Staking Rewards to SOL ETF Shareholders for the First Time
REX Shares will begin distributing $SOL staking rewards via its SSK ETF on August 1, with a payout of $0.12169 per share.
The ETF is the first in the U.S. to offer blockchain-native staking income, operating under a C-corp structure for regulatory compliance.
Within 15 days of launch, the fund reached $100 million in assets under management and $135 million in inflows.
REX Shares announced today that its Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF), ticker $SSK, will kickstart distributing staking rewards to shareholders on August 1st. Since getting approved for rollout around a month ago, the first Solana ETF in the U.S. will go down in history as also the first to offer $SOL staking rewards in the traditional investment market.
The payout is set at $0.12169 per share, marking the first time a U.S.-listed ETF has issued monthly staking income tied directly to blockchain activity.

REX-Osprey Solana ETF launched earlier this month, offering not only exposure to $SOL for Wall Street but also the added benefit of blockchain-native rewards generated through staking. Hopefully, Gary Gensler doesn’t hear about this, but these rewards function similarly to how dividends are paid to shareholders.
According to REX Shares, 100% of the fund’s Solana holdings are staked, and all rewards earned are passed through to investors in the form of monthly dividends. The ETF is listed on the Cboe BZX Exchange and operates under a C-corporation structure, which enables it to distribute staking income while remaining compliant with U.S. securities regulations.
The fund earns a 0.75% management fee, driving total annual operating expenses to around 1.40%. In around 15 days, the ETF achieved the mark of $100,000,000 in assets under management, while also scoring $135 million in inflows in that short period of time.
